What Ten Years in Provence Taught Us About Making a Home Beautiful

Placement

A house has to make sense where it sits. We look at how the sun moves across it throughout the day, the walk to the front door, and how it settles into the land. It is never just about square footage and finishes.

Texture

Some things are built to look good on delivery day. We are more interested in what holds up over time: oak, lime wash, raw stone. Materials that become more beautiful with wear, not less.

Soul

You feel a house before you notice the furniture. Our years in Provence taught us that light and air matter as much as the floor plan. When we walk through a home, we read how it feels first. That is what stays with you, not what you see in the photos.

Simplicity

Most of design is knowing what to leave out.

We would rather put the budget toward a few things that matter than fill a house with things that do not.
