The kitchen features modern classic cabinetry throughout. Upper cabinets were removed for openness, with space created in countertop drawers. The back wall now spans windows, framing garden views. Modern Bosch appliances complete the kitchen, including an induction stove, offering the efficiency of modern cooking without sacrificing gas like responsiveness.

The former screened in porch, back left, was enclosed to be used as a home office or guest room. Added heating and wooden flooring bring year round comfort, with a large window and garden door providing beautiful backyard views and easy access.

An additional door was added leading out to the beautiful backyard, while the door leading into the living area was removed to open up the space and create a more natural flow between the rooms and outdoors.

Extended to include a generous walk-in shower, the bathroom feels open and considered with clean lines, minimal detailing, and high-quality fixtures throughout. A sculptural overflow basin anchors the room: the Duravit Bacino, a ceramic design classic prized for its minimalist, universal appeal.

Warm tones nod to southern France, finished with premium Turkish cotton towels in Mediterranean blue.

What changed

Enlarged windows on both sides bring light and harmony to the living room, alongside a garden door for easy indoor-outdoor flow. Red brick and wood-clad walls have been simplified to clean white, with wooden flooring replacing carpet for a warmer finish, while white-painted beams open up the sense of space and air overhead.

The fireplace remains the focal point, accented with subtle natural decor — driftwood above the mantel grounds the space in texture rather than colour.
